Wedding flowers, artfully presented, are a specialty at Harkins.  We don’t advertise or especially promote them, but lots of great couples over the years have found their way to us.

Their satisfaction has been our way of building a solid wedding flower business. Many of our clients started as wedding customers initially. We hear from brides and grooms all the time, from London to California when they need flowers in New Orleans. Some still use us when sending flowers anywhere even their new hometown. They say we know how to "talk the talk" to get just the right arrangement.

Typically, wedding orders begin with an initial conference to explore the floral needs. After developing a shopping list of the couple's wedding flower needs (e.g. bride’s bouquet, maids’ bouquets, boutonnieres, church arrangements, reception centerpieces, etc.) we present a proposal often including three prices for each item. This is our unconventional way of pricing a wedding. Rather than throw a single number on the table as the cost of the wedding, we encourage the customer to put together the flower budget that works for them. This is as close as we come to offering a wedding package. It’s about as far away as you can get from the one-size-fits-all wedding packages featured in bridal tabloids.

To accept our proposal, we ask for roughly one third down payment to reserve the date. The second third is due one month before the wedding, and the final third is due one week before.
